The Cleves
Kemsing, Sevenoaks, Kent TN15
The Cleves is a wonderfully eclectic mix of old and new; the steep gables and slate roofs of the new houses complement those of the converted Vicarage. They all share the same, sunny aspect and extraordinarily secluded location that has to be seen to be believed!
Cleves was built in 1875 as the new vicarage for the parish of Kemsing and enjoys an enviable position, nestling on the south face of the North Downs, just above the village and the church itself, and overlooking the lovely Holmesdale Valley. It was named after Ann of Cleves, one of Henry VIII’s wives, whose family were given the parish of Kemsing by the king.
Now, Vision Homes have sympathetically converted the building into four, fabulous houses and have built three further new homes alongside it.
The Development
The Cleves is wonderfully secluded and is approached over a wooden drive, taking you past the old church and up the hill, accessing the property through impressive wrought iron gates.
All of the houses face south and have landscaped private patios or gardens opening onto a large communal garden with areas of formal and landscaped lawns, rough grass, wild flowers and woods. Magnificent beech, yew, ash and sycamore trees surround the house and gardens, giving The Cleves a special feeling of tranquillity and rural charm.
Each house is different, with its own distinctive features and appeal, but all finished to the same exacting standard and superb level of specification.
