The Harringtons, which Vision completed in late 2006, was their most prestigious development to date. 34 Harrington Gardens was a disused hotel occupying a valuable site in this sought -after South Kensington Street. Vision Homes completely renovated the building including new floors, stairs, lift and new roof, and converted it to provide eight wonderfully elegant and superbly specified apartments. By building in mezzanine galleries in the ground and first floor apartments, valuable living space was created as well as a stylish ‘loft-living’ angle. Stainless steel spiral stairs with glass treads contrasted dramatically with elegant period features and added to the appeal. The bathrooms came complete with ‘Tile TV’ flat screens, under-floor heating and Italian designer fittings. Kitchens were fully equipped with Siemens appliances with built-in cappuccino machines and fitted with Corian worktops. The units all sold quickly at prices around £1000/sq.ft.
